3D Printable QR Code Generator
Design your QR code, then download it as a real, two-color 3D print file — a desk stand, a keychain or a wall plaque. 3MF with colors baked in, plus STL for older printers.
This tool needs JavaScript to design and export your QR code. The guide, examples and FAQ below work without it.

How it works
From a link to a printable, scannable object in three steps.
Paste your link
A menu, your Google reviews page, Instagram, your Wi-Fi, or any website. The QR updates instantly as you type.
Design & pick two colors
Choose a style, a center emoji or logo, and two colors: one for the base and one for the raised code and text.
Download & print
Pick a stand, keychain or plaque and download a .3mf. Open it in your slicer — both colors are already assigned.
Ideas & use cases
A printed QR code is a physical object people trust and keep.
Restaurant menus
A desk stand on every table linking to your digital menu — no more laminated paper.
"Leave us a review"
A counter stand pointing to your Google reviews. More reviews, zero friction.
Event keychains
Keychains linking to a schedule, a playlist or an Instagram — a keepsake, not a flyer.
Rentals & hotels
A wall plaque with the Wi-Fi QR so guests connect in one scan.
Turn any QR code into a 3D printable file
Most QR generators stop at a flat image. QRForge goes further: it builds a real, print-ready 3D model of your QR code that you can make on any FDM 3D printer. Because a printed code only scans reliably when it has genuine contrast, the object is made of two colors — a base plate in one color and the raised code and text in another — and both are stored inside the file so your slicer assigns them to two filaments automatically.
Why 3MF instead of STL?
An STL file only describes shape, not color. A 3MF file (the modern standard used by Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Orca Slicer and Cura) stores the two colors right inside it. That is why the main download here is a single .3mf: open it and the base and the code are already on separate colors, with real contrast so any phone camera reads it. For older printers that only accept STL, there is a secondary download with two separate STL files and a short read-me.
Three ready-to-print objects
- Desk stand — an angled base that stands on a counter or table. Ideal for restaurant menus and "leave us a review" cards.
- Keychain — a compact tag with a ring hole, perfect for events, giveaways and personal links.
- Wall plaque — a flat plate with two hang holes for Wi-Fi codes in rentals, offices and shops.
Making sure it scans
The tool checks your design as you go. It warns you if the two colors are too similar to scan, if the code is lighter than the base (which some old phones dislike), and if each module would print smaller than about 1.5 mm — in which case you simply enlarge the object or shorten the link. Keep a light base with a dark code and you will get a crisp, dependable print every time.
Frequently asked questions
How do I turn a QR code into a 3D printable file?
Paste your link, pick two colors and an object type (stand, keychain or plaque), then click “Download 3D file”. You get a .3mf that opens in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Orca or Cura with both colors already assigned.
Will the printed QR code actually scan?
Yes — as long as you keep real contrast (a light base with a dark code) and each module is at least about 1.5 mm. The tool shows live warnings for both so you know before you print.
What is the difference between 3MF and STL?
3MF stores the two colors inside the file, so modern printers load the base and the code on separate filaments automatically. STL has no color, so it is offered here as two separate files for older printers.
Do I need a multi-color printer?
No. On a single-extruder printer you can pause at the color-change layer and swap filament, or simply print it in one color if you keep enough contrast against the surface behind it.
Can I put my logo in the center?
Yes. Upload a logo or pick an emoji and it appears in the middle of the code. On the 3D object it is turned into a single-color raised silhouette so it prints cleanly.
Is it free and private?
It is completely free with no sign-up, and everything runs in your browser. Your link and design never leave your device.
